The PMT-II

One of our most populair designs is the "PMT" loudspeaker, shown at the left. PMT means "Poor Man's Tube", the kitprice is quite reasonable for this excellent loudspeaker. This design is made out of PVC tube with a diameter of 16 cm and it's 75 cm high. The filtering is done by a simple series filter of 6 dB/octave. The PMT is a "closed" box design which performs well, even with a small tube amplifier. The frequency response is 50 Hz - 22000 Hz and sensitivity is over 90 dB's. A simple 8 or 10 Watt amplifier will thus give a sufficient sound level. The stereo image of this loudspeaker is superb! The stage is wider than the position of the loudspeakers and it's depth goes tens of meters beyond (given a good recording).

As in all models the PMT also sports a protecting device to prevent the tweeter from being damaged at high volume levels.

The units are "shielded" so they don't disturb the picture when placed beside the TV.

Sensitivity = 89 dB/1 W/1 m
Max. Power = 40 Watt
Frequency range = 50 Hz - 22 kHz
Impedance = 8 Ohm
Dimension = 16 cm diameter
70 cm height
