D122 integrated stereo class-D amplifier
D-202 stereo class-D amplifier

The D-202 is an integrated stereo amplifier. Per channel two power amps are used in a bridged configuration. This means that the output power is doubled when compared with the D-122 or D-123. It also means that the lower octaves of the frequency spectrum are better controlled.

We advise this amplifier for use with low impedance loudspeakers or loudspeakers showing a "difficult load" for the amplifier.

The amplifier offers two inputs using a "reliable" and noise-free switch. We also used an Alps potentiometer offering a more "musical" performance and a longer lifetime then most other potentiometers.

The "standard" kit is delivered with NE5532 op amps in the control amplifier. An option is to order the kit with the top-of-the-bill LM4562 op amps.

The picture (at left) shows the control amp. The volume is controlled with a reliable Alps potentiometer. All resistors are of the well known Beyschlag type.

The upper part shows the two discrete shunt regulators.
